The Urbino Tactical stock, is a fixed-length pistol grip shotgun stock made from injection-molded glass-filled nylon. The Urbino Tactical stock is durable, easy to shoulder and will not slip. The reduced length-of-pull (LoP) makes the Urbino the first truly tactical stock for the Benelli SuperNova. The Urbino stock kit is very popular in our law enforcement market due to the shorter length of pull, allowing the user to wear body armor or bulky clothing without extending their reach. Mesa Tactical offers a shortened length of pull stock, known as the “Urbino” stock, for Benelli, Mossberg, and Remington shotguns. A deeply intriguing and maybe even slightly ill-advised build, we’re big fans regardless.Urbino® Pistol Grip Stock For Benelli SuperNova (12-GA) ***NOT COMPATIBLE WITH THE BENELLI NOVA*** Power is passed through the 3-speed onto a 10 bolt rear end, and there also appears to be a newer master cylinder–there’s no word on the brakes, though. Provided the 350 beneath is reasonably healthy with some decent specs, the factory Vette fuel injection setup could help make some very respectable numbers–Chevy rated 1964/’65 327 Fuelies at 375 HP and 350 lb. Looking perfectly period apart from the modern aftermarket air filter, ideally a more suitable solution would be found ASAP. Auxiliary gauges are pretty low-key, and the column-mounted 3-speed shift is the sleepiest element of the entire build. Wearing very little trim, simple blackwall tires with dog dish caps, an unassuming color, and sedate, middle school office lady special sheet metal, the car would definitely fly under the radar. The fact that it remains both period and brand-correct somehow does little to diminish that effect, but that’s exactly why we dig it. We’re big fans of well executed sleepers, and this one certainly seems to be on that path, but short of something completely off-the-wall like a rotary, turbodiesel or even a turbine swap, it’s difficult to think of a stranger setup for this car. This 1967 Chevrolet Nova two-post is a bit of an odd duck, combining a 350ci SBC wearing a 1964/’65 Corvette Fuelie system and a stripper spec three-on-the-tree.
